Community Habilitation (CH) Services provides independent living skills training, socialization skills, and integration into the community. CH assists individuals in acquiring, retaining, and improving adaptive skills and self-help skills needed to live independently at home and in community-based settings.

Participants and families partake in the development and implementation of the Staff Action plan. The plan focuses on the strengths, needs, and choices of the individuals in order to promote independence, individuality, inclusion, and productivity. Our professionally trained Community Habilitation Specialists assist the individuals on an array of outcomes to develop skills such as travel training, money management, writing, tutoring, etc.

Young people with disabilities have many abilities! In order to more fully realize their potential and ultimately lead more independent lives, our mission is to help individuals achieve their goals with the highest quality of service.

Our Day Habilitation Without Walls Program stands apart in providing highly individualized programming within a community setting which emphasizes social skills development, independent life skills training, health and fitness support, job readiness training, fine arts and music aspirations, and much more.

The door to door transportation is provided for each participant, who spends the day in the community volunteering, participating and engaging in various activities.

For the Boroughs of Manhattan and Bronx

Family Education and Training is a program that services families that have children with developmental disabilities. The purpose of this program is to provide information regarding the impact of the developmental disability and enhance the decision-making capacity of the family, as well as inform them about possible methods to work with their child as well as services available.

In-Home Respite service enhances the quality of life for the entire family. Our Community Based Pre-Vocational program prepares individuals for paid employment or unpaid meaningful community activities, including volunteering, in integrated community settings. In order to deliver the best job readiness training, we assess the individuals in order to develop potential community and employment experiences in an integrated setting appropriate to the needs of each person.
